"Boba After Jog"
People at the park just vanished for no reason, So where they gone? No one knows except for Her ;D
Birds sang cheerfully on the picturesque summer day. The sun was out, the air was warm, and people happily milled about in the local park.
Ada, fresh off her daily jog, sat down at a small park bench, catching her breath a bit. Pulling out her phone to idly check her socials, her eyes went wide as she noticed the date. How could she forget??
Eyes scanning around her, an idea quickly popped into her head on what to do to remedy her forgetfulness just in time. With a snap of her fingers, two things happened in an instant.
The first, Ada now held a delicious, ice cold bubble tea in her hand. The second, the local park she was in was now empty. All of the meandering people who had been around were suddenly gone. All except Ada. Unbeknownst to any distant observers had there been any, everyone from the park was still technically right there. But they were now all contained within the translucent tapioca pearls inside of Ada’s drink.
Unable to call out for help, unable to get anyone’s attention, all they could do was feel the surreal weightlessness within the liquid while watching in horror as the bottom of the straw began sucking up the pearls. Sometimes nine or ten at a time. Up the straw they went, quickly emptied out into the cavernous interior of Ada’s mouth. Though there was very little time to take in any sights, as Ada immediately swallowed. The slick, round boba slipping down her throat effortlessly with each gulp.
Rapidly the small balls that were the unfortunate micro’s gelatinous prisons were deposited into Ada’s belly. The temperature suddenly shifting from the icy cold of the drink, to the sweltering heat of Ada’s stomach as they sank beneath the acid.
A few minutes later, only a small portion of the drink remained. One last boba pearl remained. Almost entirely missed, but no such luck existed for them as the straw took aim and sucked them up too. One more soft swallow and they were gone. Ada glanced inside the now empty plastic cup. The entirety of its contents now fully sealed away inside her stomach where it belonged. With a satisfied sigh, Ada dropped the empty cup into a garbage can and stretched a bit before continuing her jog. Leaving the now oddly silent park behind her.
