Turnabout
“What about her?”
Madison blinked, looking up from scrolling her social media on her phone. She looked at Sophia first, then followed the calico feline’s gaze to the other side of the subway car.
“Her? Are you sure?” Madison asked, turning back to face her friend. “Isn’t she a little… big?”
Sophia replied with a toothy grin. “Nothing we can’t handle. Isn’t this the kind of chance we’ve been talking about? C’mon, we’re college students now, we’re never gonna be the ‘big preds on campus’ if we don’t take the leap!”
Madison looked back at Sophia’s potential target. She couldn’t deny that the cow looked appetizing. She was reading a book, and didn’t seem to have noticed the two cats watching her. She was huge, with just the right amount of meat on her curvy figure. A large, pregnant belly rested in her lap, and atop that were a pair of breasts that – well, Madison couldn’t help but imagine what it would feel like to cram those into her throat, and she felt a slight flush in her cheeks.
“And think about it,” Sophia continued, leaning into Madison’s side to whisper into her ear. “When would you have a better opportunity? She’s the only other person in the subway car. She’s got nowhere to run. And she’s preggers, which not only means a bigger meal, but also that she probably won’t be as capable of defending herself as she would be otherwise. It’s perfect.”
Madison’s heart skipped a beat. Sophia raised several good points. It would be an easy hunt, if you could even call it a hunt. The cow would, by far, be the largest single thing Madison had ever eaten, but she was confident she’d be able to keep her down. And her mouth was starting to water just thinking about how full the cow would make her. Her tail twitched on the seat beside her.
“Alright,” Madison finally said. “I’m gonna go for it.”
“Awesome,” Sophia whispered.
Madison smiled, put her phone in her pocket, and got up. Her excellent balance made crossing the moving subway car easy. She put on her best “pred” face, with a bit of a saunter to her hips – there was no reason to be subtle. Her heart raced and her tail sliced the air behind her as she imagined pinning the cow down and stripping off her clothes.
“Hi there, tasty,” she said as she approached, injecting a note of sultriness into her voice. “How ab–”
Madison didn’t get to finish her flirtatiously predatory quip, because the cow’s enormous left hand suddenly shot out, clamping her muzzle shut as it covered her entire face.
The fur on Madison’s back instantly rose. She reached up with both hands, grabbing at the cow’s arm and trying to pull it off her, but it was like trying to claw at a brick wall. She tried to hiss, but the sound was muffled by bovine’s palm.
She felt herself being pulled forward, while the cow’s other hand grabbed her left arm and forced it down to her side. Then her left hand followed suit, releasing Madison’s face so it could slide down her side, forcing her right arm down as it passed her shoulder and locking it to her side as well.
And now, able to see again, Madison found herself staring into the bovine’s wide open mouth. Saliva glistened on her broad tongue and flat teeth.
“Oh, sh–”
Once again, Madison didn’t get to finish, and she was suddenly crammed into tight, moist darkness.
Sophia could only watch, eyes wide, mouth slightly agape, as the cow ate her friend. She was on her paws now, standing just a few feet away from the cow, but hadn’t managed to bring herself any closer.
Not that she really had time to get closer. That first motion, as the cow dove her head forward, engulfed Madison up to her hips. Then the cow tilted her head back and started swallowing, using her hands to corral the kicking legs into her maw.
Gllp.
Glk.
It only took a few swallows for Madison’s paws to disappear, and then the cow slurped up her thrashing tail.
Glllk.
And Madison was gone. The bulge slide down the bovine’s throat and settled in her first stomach. Between the cow’s size, and that already pregnant belly, Madison barely even made a bulge. If Sophia hadn’t just watched it happen, she probably wouldn’t even have noticed the slight squirming, or heard the muffled screaming and sobbing.
The cow didn’t seem bothered by it. She was moving her tongue around in her mouth, as if feeling for something. She had one hand resting on her belly, while she brought the other up to her lips, slid it inside, and then pulled out a small, rectangular object.
It was Madison’s phone. It dripped with saliva, and even from here Sophia could see a large crack in the screen, where flat teeth must have smashed against it.
The bovine dropped the phone nonchalantly onto the seat next to her, before running that broad tongue between her teeth and lips, a satisfied expression on her face.
Sophia finally found enough of her voice to stammer. “You… y-you…!”
For the first time, the cow looked straight at Sophia.
The fur on the back of Sophia’s neck instantly rose, bunching around the hem of her shirt.
“Yes?” The cow asked.
It took Sophia another moment or two to respond. “Th-that was my friend!?”
The cow smiled. “What are you mad about? I thought cats got nine lives.”
Sophia stared at her. “No?!”
“Really? Y’sure hun? You wanna find out?”
The cow winked at her.
A shudder ran through Sophia’s body. Madison was trapped in there. If Sophia didn’t rescue her, what would she be dooming her to? The cow was an herbivore – how long would it take to digest a cat? Days? Weeks? Months?
She needed to rescue her friend. She had to. She was the only one who could.
She took a deep breath, inching herself forward. But in the end, she only crept just close enough to reach out and snatch Madison’s phone off the seat, before scrambling away.
The cow let out an amused chortle. “Thought so.”
Then she picked her book back up and went back to reading, as her stomach let out an agonizingly slow gurgle.
